The Makita DHR243 is a compact SDS+ 3 mode drill with rotary hammer for masonry drilling, hammer only for masonry chiselling and rotary only for drilling wood and steel and features variable speed and reverse. The front SDS chuck is removable by simply twisting and pulling off the machine and can then be converted to a 3 jaw keyless chuck machine compatible with standard straight shank drill bit for non-hammer, rotary only action. A quality, all steel keyless chuck is supplied as standard for rotary only drilling.
